One-week courses, from Monday to Friday, 2pm - 4:30pm

During autumn holidays, the CIAM Circus Arts amateur School organizes courses for children. Multidisciplinary, adapted to different ages and levels, they allow them to discover or deepen their knowledge of circus arts for one week, surrounded by two to three pedagogical artists. All our pedagogical artists are English-speaking.

These workshops are adapted to beginners, and advanced ! The duration is also adapted to the children age, and each one can evolve according to its level. With beginners or amateurs, teachers are sensitive to the progress of anybody.

The disciplines taught : acrobatics, juggling, trapeze, aerial silk, equilibrium, wire, etc.

The supervision rate is a maximum of 8 students per pedagogical artist in order to allow a real interaction with the teacher.

Workshop schedule :
From monday 19th to friday 23th of octobre, everyday from 2pm to 4:30 pm

During a session in our circus top, your children discover circus arts disciplines : trapeze, acrobatics, juggling, handstand, tightrope walking ..., trained by high level circus artists.

2 Days to Learn How to Fly!

Climb up to the platform, take your swing, launch into the void… Flying trapeze offers unique sensations from the very first try.

This workshop runs over two consecutive days, allowing real progression: each participant practices solo tricks, builds confidence, and fully experiences the thrill of aerial flight.

Turn your world upside down with Nastassja!

Want to discover hand balancing or take your technique to the next level? This workshop is open to adults of all levels, from those taking their first steps upside down to more experienced hand balancers.

Over two days, Nastassja will guide you through progressive exercises adapted to your level, helping you better understand your body… upside down! 🙃

You’ll work on alignment, pelvis, back and shoulder positioning, muscular engagement, flexibility and endurance. A variety of exercises and workshops will help you explore and progress, using the floor, wooden handstand blocks and other training equipment.

Hand balancing is a fundamental skill in many circus disciplines. Learning to control your alignment and weight distribution will help you approach more complex skills with greater stability, control and confidence.

Beginners and experienced practitioners are equally welcome, with exercises adapted to each participant’s level. A good general level of fitness is recommended to make the most of the workshop.

Two days to refine your technique, improve your stability and see the world from a whole new perspective! 🤸

Discover acrobatic partnering with Danik!

Want to give acrobatic partnering a try? This workshop is the perfect opportunity to discover the basics in a friendly, supportive environment, with a progressive approach accessible to everyone. 🎪

You’ll explore your first partner and group figures while working on balance, support and trust. You’ll start with floor-based lifts before gradually moving up to standing lifts. Danik will also introduce you to the fundamentals of hand-to-hand acrobatics. 🙏

The workshop is limited to 10 participants, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace and receive personalised guidance.

No previous experience or specific level of fitness is required: beginners are very welcome! You can come on your own or with someone else – there’s no need to sign up with a partner.

A workshop to discover a different side of acrobatics, build confidence and experience the joy of lifting… and being lifted!

Discover or deepen your balance skills on the tightwire!

This workshop invites adults to explore the art of tightwire walking, an ancestral discipline of balance. Beginners will discover its fundamentals, while more experienced participants will refine their skills through more acrobatic work.

The apparatus consists of a horizontal steel cable stretched between two supports, generally practiced at low height (around two meters off the ground). Unlike high-wire walking, tightwire is performed closer to the ground, allowing the acrobat to execute a variety of moves: balances, dances, jumps, and acrobatics.

Dive into the world of aerial silks!

The CIAM is offering an intensive aerial silks workshop, open to beginners and intermediate students, to explore this captivating discipline that combines strength, flexibility, and fluidity. Whether you’re curious to try it for the first time or eager to refine your skills, this weekend is made for you!

✨ What will you discover?
You’ll learn to move confidently in the air, get comfortable with height, and wrap your body in the silks. Hsien Ming Damiani will guide you through exercises tailored to each level, designed to build physical strength and body awareness while mastering technical figures. A unique experience that will push your limits—always with a smile!
